In the early morning hours of Friday April 7 several vehicles were broken into in the 200 block of South Ewing and on Orchard Drive in Brownstown. Items stolen include money, a GPS dash unit, a headrest mounted DVD player, and sunglasses. All of the vehicles are believed to have been left unlocked.

A person in the area reported seeing a dark colored 1990’s model pickup truck with loud exhaust circling the block and then leave at a high rate of speed. The bed of the truck reportedly was loaded with what appeared to be plastic piping and buckets.

Brownstown Police Sgt. John Long is investigating the thefts and is asking that anyone with information regarding the suspect vehicle or the thefts contact the police department or the Jackson County Sheriff.
