Burglary and Theft of a 2006 Polaris 500 ATV Reserve Deputy Kevin Settle responded to the initial report. Later that evening witnesses in the area reported seeing a male subject riding the stolen ATV. On Friday (March 25) Deputy Jeff Walters located and recovered the stolen That afternoon in Medora, Deputies Jeff Walters and Rick Meyer arrested Austin T. Brewster, 20, on a Jackson Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear. Brewster was also a suspect in the burglary and theft of the ATV. During an interview by Deputy Walters, Brewster confessed to the burglary and theft. Additional charges of burglary (level 5 felony) and theft (level 6 felony) were then filed against Brewter. JCSD Lt. Darin Downs also assisted Settle, Meyer and Walters.
