NEWS RELEASE - Jackson County Sheriff's Dept.

    On 3/21/2016 Deputy Jesse Hutchinson was contacted by the jail division
about possible drugs being found on an inmate that had just been brought in.
After his investigation it was determined that inmate James Hess age 48 of
Seymour who had been brought in by Seymour Police on other drug related offenses had
concealed around 20 grams of methamphetamine on his body. The drugs were located
by the jail staff during the booking procedure. James was charged with possession
of Methamphetamine Level 4 Felony and Trafficking with an Inmate Level 5 Felony.
James also faces other charges from Seymour PD.

Assisting were Jail Sgt. Bill Drees and Jail Officer Daulton Anderson.
